One of the first action films produced by Yash Raj Films, ‘Dhoom’ was released in 2004 and starred Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, John Abraham, Esha Deol and Rimi Sen in the lead roles. The film was a resounding success and earned over 290 million along with a lot of coveted awards. The dance number ‘Dhoom Dhoom’ by Tata Young became the anthem of the youth. Not surprisingly, this initiated the producers to come up with a sequel- ‘Dhoom 2’. The sequel had Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan and retained Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra from the previous film. Bipasha Basu was a notable addition in this film. True to its name, the sequel, directed by Sanjay Gadhavi spelt ‘dhoom’ for the producers in every corner of the country. Interestingly, sponsors Pepe Jeans and Coca Cola also reaped the benefits of this success!
Dhoom 3 is obviously intended to make the most of the Dhoom effect. Dhoom 3 has had the singular distinction of having roped in ‘Mr, Perfect‘ Aamir Khan, who is reputed to be so extremely choosy about his roles, that he never does more than one film a year. The interesting story line and the action had Aamir play a negative character in the film.
Aamir’s look in the film has clearly kept in mind with the revenge-seeking character he plays in this movie. We have him flaunting a well toned body with a waist coat and hat, looking as aggressive as his character needs to be. Aamir had put in hours at ballet, aerobics and the French technique of Parkour to look extremely agile. As for his fashion sense in the film, we find Aamir dressing trendily with a minimalist approach. The designer trio- Manoshi Nath, Rushi Sharma and Anaita Shroff have worked hard to present Aamir as youthful, and energetic in all he wears for the film..
