Step 1: Take one end of the saree, leaving a yard or so. Drape the saree around your waist and hold it with both hands.
Step 2: Make a double knot in the saree at the waist for safety.
Step 3: Take the shorter end of the saree and pull it back between the legs. Tuck it in at the back.
Step 4:Now take the longer end of the saree and make five to six pleats. The number of pleats you make depends on the length of that portion of the saree. If the saree is long enough, you can make around six pleats. Tuck the pleats over the waist knot. Ensure that the saree is one inch above the floor. You can wear any footwear before draping this saree.
Step 5:Make four to five pallu pleats to cover the entire pallu. Bring the pallu to the left side over the shoulder, ensuring that the saree is wrapped around the body. Finally, pin it so that it stays in place.
