Yves Saint Laurent once said, Fashions fade but style is eternal. Designer couple Shyamal Bhumika Shodhan stand testimony to that. Bhumika is an NIFT graduate while Shyamal has widely researched fashion – be it in London or Italy, he has a deep understanding of his craft.

They started in 2003 at the Lakme Fashion Week and their designs made waves thereafter. The label is known for using various artisan techniques for their Indian wedding dresses and bridal collections. It is their deep bonding with intricate embroidery and hand -woven fabrics that makes Shyamal and Bhumika’s collections stand out. Their current emphasis is the revival of the dying arts.

The Shyamal Bhumika label stands for its exquisite Indian wedding dresses. Their collection includes striking wedding sarees and suits for her and stylish and chic sherwanis and kurtas for him. Apart from this, they also indulge in wearable short dresses and  made out of khadi, silk and other natural fabrics. The flirty minutiae like ruffles on handwoven silk throw a splash of modernism with Indian craftsmanship in their collections. Each piece is thus a masterpiece and speaks for itself.
