Learn and heal through Reiki

Reiki, which comes from two Japanese words (Rei and Ki) means Universal Life Force Energy. It is basically a hands-on healing technique which seems to use the body’s inherent energy (the universal life force), the Ki, to heal various problems - be it related to the mind, body or soul. Now this healing procedure is more than a couple of 1,000 years old. Though it’s not a substitute for medical treatment, it is meant to complement the same for a speedy recovery.  

So what happens in this is that a Reiki practitioner transmits energy through his/her hands into the body of the receiver. As Reiki flows through an unhealthy area, it washes away any negative thoughts or feelings lodged in the unconscious mind/body.

There are four levels to learning Reiki. The first level teaches you self-healing and introduces you to the art of healing others through Reiki. The second level gives you training in distance healing. The other two levels are for those who wish to take it up at the professional level or who wish to teach others. A Grand Master, Rohini Khatri (www.rohinikhatri.com, www.ciplus.in) practices and teaches Reiki. She has been in this profession since 27 years and conducts Reiki workshops globally. Besides, she is the founder of CI PLUS (Cosmic Intelligence) program, which is an extension of Reiki and is claimed to be a comprehensive and advanced healing system.

A Grand Master, Inciyah (www.amazingreiki.com) specializes in relationship healing and includes counselling sessions along with her healing sessions. Depression, obesity and ailment related to bones are treated by her. The healing period varies from three to 21 days as per the intensity. She charges Rs. 500 or more for every session.
