What you see – If you love being @home, you will love shopping @home as well. That’s what we saw and felt at this home decor store - @home. Now when you enter this shop, you will also see chivalrous security personnel open the lift doors for you. That’s a pleasant gesture, alright. And these are the same personnel who will stop you when you leave so as to check your bill, put a stamp on it and thank you for visiting the store.
What you get - The first floor of this four-storied plush showroom is devoted largely to home accessories. These include imported hand-made paintings, glassware, dinnerware, a huge collection of artificial flowers and fruits, modish vases in all shapes and sizes, table décor, candles, luxury bathroom sets and splendid clocks from Opal (priced above Rs. 1,000, but worth it).
Metal puja thalis with God figurines priced at Rs.1,010 are something that you should look for. These are durable and have an ethnic look because of the exquisite carvings. As far as the beautiful and imported hand-made porcelain figures are concerned, you just can’t take your eyes off them. These come at a cost of Rs. 4,000 and above.
The next three floors at this store deal in furniture, furnishings, flooring and lighting. Here you can find beautiful bed covers from Portico New York, an international home decor and furnishings company. These are priced a little above Rs. 500. They also have a special kid’s bed collection (Rs. 369-469) besides quilts, cushions, towels, snooze pillows etc. Well-designed leather and wooden dining tables from Malaysia are worth a dekko here and so are the splendid lampshades and lights that can transform the look of your house.
There’s more. On the top floor you have virtual bedrooms designed for you with beds, side tables, beanbags, almirahs, sofas and dressing tables. Queen size and king size beds are priced between Rs.19, 900 and Rs. 42, 900.
Our verdict – A great collection of home accessories is what this store has. These are unique and make splendid gift items. So make sure you visit this store if you are looking for something exquisite. Apart from that, what we also liked was the fact that they do not charge for home delivery. Parking space is available.
