What you see - This factory manufactures fun. And it does not burn a hole in your pocket for that. Besides, you stand a chance of winning some attractive gifts. That in short is Fun Factory.
Now the lighting over here sets it apart from other such gaming zones. Little shimmering bulbs here are there, illuminated arcades, huge pillars, unique ceiling…this factory is sure different. Frequented by collegians and parents with young ones, this place is fit for people in the age group of ten and above. As far as the tiny tots are concerned, they can only enjoy by watching others play.
Kids playing hide-and-seek, sitting on the racer bikes without tickets, staffers shooing them away and family members posing for pics are some of the amusing scenes that you get to see over here.
What you get - Crowded on the weekends, Fun Factory at Prasads offers more than fifty simulator (video games), redemption and other games, making it a fun-filled hour or two for couples with young kids.
Each coin here (which you need to insert for every game) costs Rs. 10. Young and bubbly staffers (who themselves try their hand at the games sometimes) help you understand the games. The easy to play redemption game, Killer T-Rex, is surely the crowd puller here.
While you entertain yourself here, you can even score a point or two and win some gifts in return. For instance, if you get more than ten points, you can earn gifts ranging from pencils, CDs, toys, cricket and tennis bats to a bicycle costing Rs. 15,000. But to acquire this prized bicycle (with two gears) you need to garner 1, 25,000 points within a period of six months. That’s a tall order!
Next to Fun Factory is a family restaurant fully managed by women folk that serves fast food and meals. And if that doesn’t suit your or your kids’ taste buds, there is Ohri’s on the ground floor. So your hunger pangs are well taken care of.
Our verdict – One thing that irked us here was that there are more viewers than players. So while you are in action, you will find a horde of people flocking around you. That’s because there is no entrance ticket over here. Nonetheless, Fun Factory is fun for a couple of hours. After that, your pocket becomes lighter and the fun becomes monotonous. However, it is not a bad idea for an evening out with kids.
