Fireworks and Crackers
Diwali is not the same without the pleasure of crackers. The most popular fireworks HACA fireworks mela is at the Exhibition Grounds at Nampally. Khairatabad (Near Prasads Imax), Balamrai near Paradise Circle Secunderabad and the Parade Grounds also have similar fairs. There is also a wholesale market for fireworks at Osmangunj after the Mozzamjahi market where stores like Shanti Fireworks and Standard Fireworks are situated along the main road. A good thing to do would be to buy the fireworks a week or at least three days in advance as all these places are packed during Diwali time and so they may run out of stock quickly. The Rotary Club of Hyderabad also sells a packaged set of Diwali Crackers ranging from Rs. 500/- to Rs. 1,500/- to raise money for underprivileged children and other charitable causes so you can do your bit by buying a box or two.
Lastly for the shoppers there are innumerable discounts and sales at Hyderabad stores. We have several listed on our site as well. Check those out. Also, just in case you do not want to visit stores there is also the Dussera and Diwali special range of Handloom Silk and Cotton Silk Sarees and readymade garments at Daram Naik Estate in the lane adjacent to the Old Begumpet Airport.
So celebrate Diwali with religious and festive fervor and remember to be safe with fire crackers. Happy Diwali!
