If u want to opt for good cinema theatre then PVR ( near punjagutta ) and Imax ( near hussian sagar ) are good theatres in city. But PVR is good in quality of movie and Imax is good to Hang out with other entertainments like games etc....more

it is da best place after PRASADS to hang around wid ur girlfriend /boyfriend . one can hang around many shoping places inside PVR this place has shops for electronic item if atall u feel bored u can visit any of da shops in here and pass time . PVR is known for the MALL and its best in class theaters......more

What you see - PVR Cinemas, one of the leading cinema chains in the country with over 50 screens spread across multiple locations, has its presence in Hyderabad as well with a 5-screen multiplex. Located on the fifth floor of the Hyderabad Central shopping mall, PVR has invested about Rs. 10 crore in setting up shop in the metro.

PVR started its operations in Hyderabad around April 2005 and has managed to entertain about 6.5 million moviegoers in the first nine months itself. Designed by Jestico & Whiles, the UK-based architects who have also designed PVR's multiplex in Mumbai and Pudong Park in Shanghai, the multiplex is definitely contemporary and artistic in its set-up.

What you get - The colors range from bright red in the interiors to glittering gold in the foyer. Efforts have also been made towards ensuring enough circulation space in the lobby to avoid stampedes at the time of closing or opening of a movie show. Security check is also a perennial feature at the multiplex.

The seats are large, have more leg-room and are very comfortable. Besides, you need not step out during the intervals for refreshments as the staff serves you in the theatre itself. Cleanliness and good audio-visual quality are the other major plus-points of the multiplex.

Our verdict - The location of PVR on the fifth floor is a minus point. This is because on a busy day, it takes about 20 minutes to actually get access to the mall's lift. Besides, walking up five floors is not everyone's cup of tea. Ticket prices could be another bone of contention for PVR in this price-conscious metro. However, PVR ranks high when it solely depends on movie-viewing experience.
